Wow, she’s really grown up. I can’t believe she’s 12 already.

@Zoofan15 I can't believe it either! I still think of her as 'the baby' but that's not been the case for quite some time.

@marmolady Her mother must appreciate not being the only adult female. I know Indra at Auckland disliked the attention from the males, which increased when Dara died - hence the import of the females from Taronga.

@Zoofan15 I got the impression that Dewi keeps Santan busy. She was grooming him for a good while, and they had a bit of a wrestle as well! He is a really lovely dad.

@marmolady That’s good to hear. Intan similarly had a good relationship with her sire, to the point they believed the other adult male was her sire since females supposedly gravitate towards unrelated males.

It's good to hear of her good relationship with Santan. They weren't kept together for many years back at Melbourne.

Dewi's always been incredibly close to Maimunah though, always following her around. It seems shes now found her independence!
