Aviary view -Réserve Africaine de Sigean (2022)

This is the species list I saw the day I visited:
American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis), Red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans), Abdim's stork (Ciconia abdimii), Marabou (Leptoptilos crumenifer), African openbill (Anastomus lamelligerus), Saddle-billed stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis), Yellow-billed stork (Mycteria ibis), Palm-nut vulture (Gypohierax angolensis), Hooded vulture (Necrosyrtes monachus), Rueppell's griffon vulture (Gyps rueppelli rueppelli), African sacred ibis (Threskiornis aethiopicus), Hadada ibis (Bostrychia hagedash), Speckled pigeon (Columba guinea), Blacksmith lapwing (Vanellus armatus), Northern shoveler (Spatula clypeata), South African black duck (Anas sparsa sparsa), Cape teal (Anas capensis), Blue-billed teal (Spatula hottentota), Fulvous whistling-duck (Dendrocygna bicolor), White-faced whistling-duck (Dendrocygna viduata), African comb duck (Sarkidiornis melanotos), Ferruginous duck (Aythya nyroca), Grey-cheeked hornbill (Bycanistes subcylindricus), African grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus), Vulturine guineafowl (Acryllium vulturinum), Black-crowned night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax nycticorax), Goliath heron (Ardea goliath) and Hamerkop (Scopus umbretta).
The following species were signed but not seen: Spur-winged lapwing (Vanellus spinosus), Black-crowned crane (Balearica pavonina), Yellow-necked francolin (Pternistis leucoscepus), Western plantain-eater (Crinifer piscator), Red-crested turaco (Tauraco erythrolophus) and Northern talapoin (Miopithecus ogouensis).

What an absolutely amazing species list!

The giant list of birds already makes this a world-class exhibit, but the addition of Alligators and Talapoins really makes this very strange mixture truly amazing (from what I remember the Alligator is very elderly, so it's a bit too slow to catch the birds).

@Mr Gharial It's a great enclosure, one of my favorite parts of the whole visit.
I do have to say that as far as I know, the talapoins are not in the aviary as of now since they had conflict with the birds when they tried to introduce them back in last summer, but seeing signage still reference them and the fact they haven't left the park makes me think they might try again.
