@RonBurrgundy There is one big enclosure and that's it, and during my visit it contained 5 Amur Tigers. There might have been a couple more concealed somewhere, but I saw 5 and I'm guessing that there is some kind of rotation schedule for the zoo's 8 tigers.
Kolmården has always kept their tigers in rather large groups. I have read in one of the books I posses from the 60:s/70:s ,according to the park itself, that their tigers where sought after on the zoo-market around the globe because of their good temperament, and the trade in tigers where very important for the parks economics during its first decades. They did indeed breed a LOT of tigercubs back in the days…. But it was zoo-mix bengals.
The tigers do indeed have a backstage enclosure. It is located next to the entrance to Tiger World at the Marine World-side. Opposite the chinese dholes. It is coverd by a high, red wooden Wall, but it is possible to peak throug some gaps.
