This long-staying vagrant hits 2 months on this site tomorrow - finally got a chance to call in without making the 2hr round trip solely for it.
 
Very smart bird. Love Shrikes. Saw a Woodchat on Portland last year. Its nearly 50 years(49 actually) since I saw a Red-backed( I know this isn't one) in the UK though- I used to see them breeding in the New Forest in the 1960's. Last one I saw was in 1973....
 
@Pertinax I've only ever seen three Red-backed Shrikes in the UK - all on the East Yorkshire coast - one at Spurn, and two (in different years) at Bempton, not far from where this bird was.
