No wayyy!!! I remember doing a research project on the prospect of keeping this species in captivity way back in grade school, tricky ant eaters if I remember correctly. Where was this photographed? Does anyone have any information about how common they are and if breeding is happening at the moment? Stunning stunning species.
@DelacoursLangur I'm glad to see someone being so interested in those. They are indeed spectacular. Unfortunately, the animal in the picture as well as a few others were an import gift from the wild. They did not survive for long. On the other hand, I do know of at least one person who managed to breed this species in Europe and a very few others who keep it as well. We learn more daily about new animals and how they can be bred in human care. I hope these will breed more often in the future and a good population will be settled. For now, it remains experimental and exclusively for the experts in the reptile trade.
