I agree; an interesting horn shape. Antwerp Zoo had a white one with a similar horn but I never saw it, it would have been twenty years or so ago.

The bull with the unusual horn is "Jasper", the former breeding bull at Leipzig Zoo. He is a very successful breeder, came to Berlin in 2000 from Leipzig to breed with "Kuni" and "Ine"....

Am I right in thinking this 'Jasper' was born at Chester Zoo in 1971?

You are wrong, sorry. Jasper was born at Dvur Kralove in 1991 (I think), he was shipped to Leipzig in 1993 and went to Berlin in 2000. Berlin lost their breeding bull in 1998/1999 and the two cows at Leipzig (Lipsi and Saba) were pregnant in 1999 (they gave birth to two females in 1999/2000, Nandi and Sarafine), so he went to Berlin and stayed there.
