This historical information board is located in the Band Rotunda (1923). It shows a model of the proposed Bornean orangutan exhibit in 1985 - with the zoos existing Bornean orangutan exhibit (1983-1987) in the background.

This exhibit opened in 1987 and was demolished in 2017 - ahead of the construction of their new exhibit in the South East Asia precinct (opened 2020).
