Alpaca and Elephant enclosures

This seems like a weird placement of exhibits...do you know if the alpaca space was formerly inhabited by another large species like rhinos?

I hope that you don't mind all of my questions, but I have never visited the Berlin Zoo and your photos are very interesting.

I'm sorry but I don't know this answer myself,but I'm sure somebody on here does,I wouldn't mind somebody answering this question myself either.As for minding about the questions nope I don't mind at all.I had never visited Berlin Zoo until this trip myself and I tried to take pictures that other people on here would find interesting!!

Yes - until fairly recently (maybe ten years ago) a black rhino was to be seen here. I love Berlin Zoo like no other, but this wasn't its finest enclosure. Far better for alpacas...
