Ah thank you! You’ve confirmed what I was thinking. Just wasn’t too sure as I know they’ve only got one nyala left!

I hope that nyala have future at Marwell; that perhaps more will be imported in future..

@dillotest0 How are the stock at other UK Zoos? Are they actively breeding or do they only have a few individuals too?

Breeding is somewhat occasional; though from what I know the population is doing fairly well.
Though from what I have heard just today; this individual has since died - and apparently Marwell has no plan currently to get any more..
Sitatungas it is I guess = S

Ah, interesting to know. Yes, just saw about the Nyala! Shame as seemed healthy when I visited. I guess it makes sense for a zoo to hold one or the other of such similar species. Perhaps Marwell can have greater success just focussing on Sitatunga. They have a good relationship with Chessington which also houses the species.
