It's hard to believe that this exhibit held Polar Bears for decades. The zoo used to have a grotto here and a Polar Bear was on the zoo logo. Now long gone...
 
@Philipine eagle Non-flying. All bald eagles in US zoos are ones that were injured in the wild and aren't releasable. Due to the severity of their injuries, it's rare that they can fully fly, and many can't fly at all and have to walk around. Here you can see the branches they have for sitting on slope to the ground at several points, so they can walk/hop up them to get to their spots.
