The peafowl used to be free-roaming, I don't know if the move into this aviary was for bird flu or other reasons, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a temporary location.
@Neil chace Probably. Seems like a good, safe place to keep them. There were no birds outside that weren't in some sort of covered cage, and all walk-through aviaries were closed.
