Spotless Crake (Zapornia tabuensis)

February 2021, on Tiritiri Matangi Island
Was this just at the entrance pond with low water levels? Tried for it yesterday but dipped, (although I did see everything else excluding any of the nocturnal stuff).
 
@WalkingAgnatha are you still on the island? It's not the "duck pond" just up from the jetty. Instead, from the lighthouse you follow the paths cut through the grass (past the cottages) and one of them leads to a hidden pond. That's where the crake was.
 
@Chlidonias No, I just had a day trip and only had around 4 hours on the island, and I'm really unsure on where you refer too, is it the only one in the south marked on the map?
