Wow. So crazy to think that this exhibit is being demolished, was one of the zoo's strongest exhibits in my opinion and I'm certainly going to miss it once it's gone (although I am very happy the zoo's finally building a new education center).
@ZooElephantsMan from how I understand it, this exhibit is actually going to be the events pavilion. Education Center will be between big backyard and main entrance (possibly as a replacement for the HOBBY House, but don't quote me on that- it might go next to it instead). One of the big criteria for the new education center was that the zoo wants the building to have its own entrance from outside the zoo. There's a chance the education center will spill over a little into this exhibit, but most of this exhibit will be the events pavilion, not ed center.
@pichu I'm not sure what the Raven enclosure has to do with any of this? That's in the big backyard, but is outdoors. I mentioned the Ed center as possibly replacing the HOBBY House, the building in the big backyard that holds nature swap, a classroom, restrooms, and the green house. The new education center shouldn't impact the rest of HOBBY at all. I also wouldn't call the raven exhibit "awesome", but I digress.
