African Woods: Lappet Faced Vulture and Ruppell’s Griffon Vulture exhibit

This used to be the ground hornbill exhibit right? I remember it being far greener a few years ago

@Great Argus I never seen ground hornbills in this exhibit in the last 3 years since I’ve been visiting. However, the Abyssinian Ground Hornbills currently reside with a herd of Gerenuk and it’s definitely MUCH greener than this area :D It’s amongst the photos I uploaded of African Woods if you want to see!

@Julio C Castro I checked and this indeed housed the Abyssinian Ground Hornbills on my visit in Jan 2018. It was considerably lusher at the time, though looking through your photos I remember many of the exhibits looking quite a lot greener. Perhaps this is a reflection of the water shortages this year.

@Great Argus Oh I didn’t know that, makes sense since you mentioned you saw them in 2018 there. They seem to pair well with the gerenuk herd, some of the exhibits along the trail are definitely drier than others
