I know everyone is ranting about the nyala/gazelle "exhibit" but this is just as abysmal. Literally no enrichment or privacy, the poor muntjac must be scared and bored to death. Other than the absolutely disgusting living conditions, the whole zoo just seems like a fever dream. The office ceiling tiles, weird signage, animal posters on the wall. Thank you for bringing this strange place to our attention, it's truly a bizarre place.
An exhibit of the industrialisation of nature amongst the American public ...
The disconnect between nature and developed has reached to this point that endangered species such as these here are treated as if they are man-made products of consumerism - a diversion from other products at this mall ...
'Safari' may well have lack of meaning to the American public at this point !
Though according to their website, they allegedly hold an Olingo and a Pichi - would be very much as intrigued as unnerved to hear if that was true !
Though perhaps as the word 'safari' is examined, one may also allow themself to analyse 'sustainable' - could it be that 'sustainable' has fallen with 'safari' and lost its meaning as well ?
@Great Argus A few places have claimed to have olingo now, but I've never seen any photos to try and confirm. I wouldn't be surprised if there were actually a few around, but I doubt this place has anything more than a kinkajou.
