Atlas beetle/ Chalcosoma atlas

Unfortunately, very much not alive anymore... The zoo seems to have resolved to not replacing the beetles in JW sadly.

So this is a dead one? So sad to hear that.

@Lucas Lang Correct, sadly. All the beetle displays in JW house preserved specimens and have for the past several years. All the beetles signed USED to be alive, but sadly no longer. The goliath beetles that used to be in CGF were handled similarly, though not they've been replaced by live specimens of a new species altogether.
