The nocturnal house (over the other side of the zoo) is being refurbished; while this is the Snow leopard’s night house (also known as the dens).
I had hoped they’d remodel the existing bear exhibit. It consisted of two refurbished early 20th century bear pits; with a third refurbished as the maternity annex. It could have similarly been used for breeding Snow leopard, but instead the whole exhibit has been demolished and they’re building from scratch.
@Zoofan15 aaah, ok, gotcha; they're the indoor quarters then. I'm excited to see what they come up with though. The old exhibit may have been unworkable on account of age and inevitable deterioration.
@JigerofLemuria That’s true, plus by merging the space occupied by the maternity annex (not needed as they won’t be breeding) and the main exhibit, they can provide the sibling pair with a larger exhibit.
