Heman, Burma and Ranee

Great photo. Heman was certainly an impressive bull. It’s staggering the size of the exhibit compared to what the open range zoos can provide.

Is that two exhibits your seeing?

@Jambo It’s unbelievable how small this exhibit is - though it still compared favourably regionally speaking. Auckland Zoo closed their elephant house in 1992 and had an adjoining yard smaller than this for two cows; while Wellington Zoo didn’t even have a yard to their elephant house when they phased out the species in 1985.
