@TinoPup No kidding! I knew I was going to have to be extremely lucky to stand a chance at getting a glimpse of one in an enclosure that size, especially considering the viewing is all from across the water! The “Florida Mangroves” terrarium, which I sadly somehow do not have a photo of, was a very similar setup to this one, so seeing the eastern glass lizards is a similarly impossible task.
@Kudu21 It's hard not to feel frustrated when you don't get to see the species, especially the rarer ones, but it's so much better for them, so ultimately the pro wins over the con (begrudgingly). I never have an issue with sheltopusik, but they're always in fairly small exhibits, nothing like this!
