Wow, how/where did Sharjah Safari Park source their Chinkara (Gazella bennetti), how many do they have, and are they breeding them?

I asked the guide where did they get them from but without any significant response..but they have nice breeding group.

@UngulateNerd92 sorry, I don't know more details about this group. It seemed to me that guide had only basic infos about animals, so was not able to response some more detailed questions...

@Jakub ah thank you. Perhaps it might be a good idea to email Sharjah Safari Park themselves. What I can also do in the meantime is look through Bovids of the World (Castello, 2016) and Volume 2 of the Handbooks of Mammals of the World to see which subspecies best matches the morphology of this animal in your photograph.

Though for some odd reason, I am almost inclined to believe that these animals belong to the nominate subspecies from India, India's strict importation laws regarding its native wildlife have me thinking otherwise.

Perhaps more likely one of the two subspecies native to Iran, which Al Wabra Wildlife Preservation had. Al Wabra used to keep the Eastern jebeer ssp. fuscifrons.

It looks like I have an interesting research project in front of me...
