Finished in early 1908, Changguan Building (畅观楼) was built as a royal resort so the Emperor and Empress Dowager could have a place to get some rest after the visit. The Baroque-style building was also the last royal resort built before the collapse of Qing Dynasty in 1911. It now houses a small exhibit about the history of the zoo.
