The 3 hangar-like Wetlands aviaries were some of the oldest structures in the park, but had received minor fixes over the years. 2 of the aviaries could be viewed via a sheltered gallery with glass windows. These housed a variety of water birds over the years, including storks, cranes, pelicans, ibises and spoonbills. In its last iteration, one of the 2 aviaries housed Roseate Spoonbills, Black-faced Spoonbills and Bald Ibis, while the other housed Shoebills, Boat-billed Herons and a variety of ducks. The third aviary, which could only be viewed from a distance due to its location down a slope from the main road, housed Scarlet Ibis.
