Gorgeous! Absolutely wonderful sighting!

I really hope to one day be able to see these animals myself. I already love Pangolins a whole lot but the Black-bellied pangolins absolutely take the cake as the most beautiful of the bunch.

It's really a shame these aren't present in any zoological collection. Lord knows they need the conservation efforts (Black-bellied are the least endangered of the pangolins but still aren't doing too well...)
 
@Mr Gharial Thank you! Yes, it was an unbelievable sighting, the best of an incredibly species-rich trip to Ghana. We got very lucky with this individual as my guide (who's been birding Ghana since 2004) only sees them once every blue moon. This one was trying to cross the road in a sadly very logged forest and if it had not been for us it would have been caught and sold in a market for consumption. In fact, many people stopped by to ask us if we were intending to eat it, showing how vulnerable these animals are (especially as they basically can't defend themselves)...
