As much as that sightline with the bison mountain/Ibex Island was incredibly cool, these new ape exhibits are VERY badly needed. I just hope they'll be able to hide the netting and put effort into the rockwork and treework. Nothing like Franklin Park (IMO the rockwork gels allright, but the treework is just... goofy.)
Well folks, we've come a long, long way. The dream project is finally becoming real.
I'll definitely miss the incredible sightline of the bison, but it will be well, well worth it to finally have outdoor primate viewing, and expanding into the mall is really going to give the zoo a fuller feeling.
