@Veno I see, I think they didn’t translate it well and confused アカガシ (red-headed) with the scientific name of an oak tree also called that (kanji 赤樫). Alternately, the pigeon might be compared to that tree. Anyway, Red-Headed Wood Pigeon is the most commonly used English common name for Columba janthina nitens.
