The 25 aviaries were tiered on two levels. The upper walkway allowed visitors to view the rear of the lower aviaries. In the mid-2010s, closed circuit TV systems placed inside the artificial nest boxes also allowed visitors to observe live feeds of nesting females (and any chicks).
