Thick-tailed Galago

Great picture!

I haven't seen this species myself since 2004, when one was displayed at Amersfoort for a short while.
Probably visiting Dvur this april, looking forward to seeing this species again!

@ralph Thank you! The species is not on display at Jihlava, so Dvůr is practically the only place, where you can it.

Visited today and i cant believe i nearly missed this!! (i found them eventually thankfully) their exhibit is *very* well hidden:p

So where is it? I don't wanna miss it when I visit there in 2 weeks!

@ralph There's a little fake African village section in the older part of the zoo - it's between the Red River Hogs and the tortoises (walk from the ape house to the elephants and you can't miss it). In there you need to check all the little huts as a number of them have small mammal enclosures hidden within! This is where the Thick-tailed Galagos are - as of September last year they were mixed with Southern Springhaas as well. For the most part it's not easy to miss much at Dvur otherwise, the porcupines in a fake mine shaft in the furthest corner and the genet tucked around the end of the carnivore house are the only other things that I don't think are obvious. Try to visit the row of antelope enclosures behind the elephant house a couple of times at least a couple of hours apart if possible as several of these rotate species and on my last two visits most of them changed halfway through the day!
