Galápagos Islands- Species List

The species list for the seahorse tank is divided on each side. This side lists Sea Star (Astropecten), Seahorse (Hippocampus),Trumpetfish (Aulostomus), Snowflake Eel (Echidna nebulosa), Small Spine Sea Star (Echidnaster spinulosus). Only the seahorse and trumpetfish were out that day.

@GiornoPizza that’s exactly what I was thinking, anything in an aquarium just seems to have awful signage. They can display insects just fine but they draw the line at anything in water? Disappointing but sadly expected.

@ralph I initially read that on a thread here on zoochat. But it seems either the zoo didn't mean this species when they said giant seahorse as when I went in November the exhibit was signed for the common Lined Seahorse instead so I am doubting that they ever had true giant seahorse.

@King of Komodo Dragons Thanks, makes sense they would be Lined Seahorse, they surely looked like that.
I didn't look at the signage as I was pressed for time, glad to read they added a species name.
