How has Cat Canyon aged? It opened 50 years ago and hasn't had all 4 of its exhibits occupied by felines in many years, but what is the species list these days? The design of the enclosures still looks nice, but in terms of size I bet they seem a little tight on space now. Especially by European zoo standards, with some zoos giving forests to their small cats.
@snowleopard Gray Fox, Ocelot, Bobcat and Coati. I think they're pretty decent enclosures still; varied terrain, hiding spots, climbing opportunities for the cats. In fact, during both of my visits the bobcat was high up on a ledge built into the vertical back wall - so they have a bit more usable space than the ground level implies. There's always room for improvement, though.
I have a hard time imagining how someone would see a small cat in a whole forest... they can be elusive as is.
