Berlin Zoo - Tuatara Exhibit

This is the tuatara exhibit in the Berlin Aquarium, which is probably one of the better exhibits for reptiles i've seen. Many plants and rocks, and it's so, so hard to see the lizards.

This looks as if it is a fantastic exhibit, and especially for such a bizarre and unique species.

Let's pass on the term "lizards"..;)

It does look nice, although from my experience of tuatara you might need a week to see one, and maybe a year to see one moving.

I've had two opportunities to see tuataras, one at berlin and one in sydney, and both times I have seen at least one, I think I saw two in berlin, so I must be very lucky.

That's the opposite of me. I've had the chance at Berlin, Taronga, and Chester but to no avail.

Saw two tuatara's on april 12 and again two on april 13, altho one of them was only half visible the second day.
I got lucky I think, especially since one tuatara was lying right in front of the window during my first visit.

I had only seen a tuatara in Sydney before, back in 2008
