I feel like this will be an amazing collection in an average building. This room looks fine but the other rooms look boring and dull. I was hoping this exhibit would be like bronx zoos "world of birds" exhibit on the inside and would have large aviary's around the building.
I have actually been to this place AFTER it opened and I loved it. So did most People I met/ talked to. Also you should not forget there are three halls and only one features a rain forest (and if the plants grow a bit it will do a rather good Job in my opinion). The other ones probably even look nicer than some real bush or savannah areas. But I even liked the aviaries. Only the flying foxes have an awful chamber which could have been scrapped in my opinion.
I've not visited the zoo after the new bird house opened (unless something forces a change of plans, that'll change within a few months) but based on the overall appearance and xeric plants I guess this is the Australian walk-through hall? Based on the bird species list, it is mainly aimed at dry scrubland/light woodland birds, while African mainly is aimed at woodland and the Asian mainly at rainforest.
