Caspian tigers

From the 1899 guidebook. A subspecies now extinct.
I think that this is the only photo of this form that I have seen to feature a live animal. It's a pity that it's so overweight.
 
I have seen this image, along with two others of the same individual and a third of what may be a separate individual, floating around on the internet in the past.

The third picture of TLD is from Hagenbeck.

I have found two other photos of this same animal, one of them is a good colour one. (You can find it if you google 'caspian Tiger museum'.)

It is labelled as the last Caspian Tiger in captivity, at Hamburg from 1955-60.

Does anyone have any details of its capture/origin?
