We are now halfway through 2023 and they have not even started construction yet. Clearly someone misjudged the timing on this one. (To be fair, the zoo could not help it because the entire project was pushed back by city council due to protests over the location within Reid Park, forcing a lengthy public input process to find an alternate location.)
