Well UngulateNerd, the main location that I chose for this map is, in real life, a residential area near Lake Charles itself. But since this project takes place in an alternative reality, I’m sure that it wouldn’t be that hard for the city council to build the zoo anywhere in the parish, especially during the 1960’s. I also agree that Lake Charles is definitely a city that deserves a proper zoo; and if a zoo were to be actually built. I do agree that the Mallard Golf Club would be a great location for that zoo to be built on.
As for your other question, I just thought that, for the reasons above, Lake Charles became the perfect place for me to properly establish this hypothetical zoo.
