For some reason the Dutch version of Wikipedia lists specific regions on where subspecies of a lot of species occur, while the English version doesn't. This is how I make pretty much all of these SSP-specific maps. With partial help from iNaturalist (though not in this particular one)
I have to say, considering the breadth of their distribution range, I am surprised that the Guianan cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola rupicola) is monotypic rather than polytypic.
Perhaps because the Andean Cock is separated by mountains and the Guianan Cock lives in a large area of what is essentially the same environment with no major blockades
