Nice to see Flamingos again must say (though not in person myself still really nice to see them, and being looked after very well).

@steveroberts I always enjoy seeing the Greater flamingo flock, especially during nesting season. It’s exciting the upgrades will encourage use of the pool and enhance courtship behaviour/breeding.

@Zoofan15

Oh thats fantastic news (oh and firstly I can imagine how enjoyable witnessing them during nesting season would be, they are a very healthy looking and beautiful flock), must for complete clarity say have only seen Chilean Flamingos personally in life but those Greater Flamingos seem very strikingly beautiful and well established as a flock. Back to your news about the new exhibit/expanded exhibit plans, thats absolutely brilliant and will be so amazing to see them getting more use from the pool and having even more optimal surrounds for courting and (subsequently) breeding behaviours. Its funny thinking about the fact that we know the good things install for them with their upgraded habitat works in the making and they dont know yet that they will have that very soon. They will be so happy when it's ready for them.

@steveroberts The noise is something else during breeding season, but the highlight is seeing all the nest mounds with the eggs. Eggs are artificially incubated and replaced as they’re about to hatch. I’ve seen both eggs hatching and newborn chicks, which has been incredible.

The exhibit renovations won’t increase the footprint of the current exhibit, but will make the half of it that previously went unused (the pool) usable, so it will feel larger to them. :)
