“Willie was a male Sea Otter who was born in Alaska. On the 4th of October, 1982, he became the first Sea Otter to be kept at a Japanese aquarium. He was raised at the Izu-Mito Sea Paradise. The first pup that Willie sired was born in November 1984, and at the time of Willie’s death on the 5th of December, 1993, he had sired a total of 28 pups. Thus, making him the most successful Sea Otter sire in Japan.”
