This is a great shot! I love that vantage point for viewing the giraffes, it's very immersive and you get to see them relatively close up, as your photo shows.
Thanks Abbey it was nice seeing the Meerkats in that moment too (two visitors were sitting on a log in the westmost exhibit with a keeper with them, and the Meerkats were being very playful and not just the ones actively getting food, one was doing a sentry stance on the sand while beaming happily and adorably at us smiling back over the viewing glass, and another was coming right up to the glass to look curiously at some children, who were very happy to see the Meerkat take an interest in them). But then I look up and see this incredible view of the Giraffes too that blew me away. (I mean seeing them with my own eyes from that vantage point blew me away lol, thanks for your lovely remarks about the photo though).
This was what I was looking forward to so so much. When I left the zoo and was feeling melancholy about having to do so, I got excited knowing you'd be able to share about specific individuals that did not know how to identify from the group, and often individuals that am learning their names for first time.
@Zoofan15 Thanks for the identification. Kito is the giraffe in the background (the one whose head you can see), as she has a heart-shaped marking at the top of her neck. I would guess Ebo is the other giraffe (just the rump/neck visible), as Jimiyu is quite tall, but I wouldn't be 100% sure about that.
@Abbey That makes sense as the fourth giraffe (seen through the vegetation on the far left) appears to have dark patches and Jimiyu is only three years young than Zarafa. Ebo isn’t quite full grown as you also mention.
