@birdsandbats YES! *And* relatively easy to find, too! Not sure if the average employee/volunteer knows where it is since I didn't have to ask anyone with help finding it (I know they're supposed to know, but that hasn't been my experience in anything but small places).
Sometimes these seemed to be placed in literally the worst places. One of Wildwood Zoo's KultureCity quiet areas in an indoor playground in a super echo-y room. I couldn't stand being in that room for more than a few minutes, I hate to think how it must be for some other who are more sensitive to noise than me.
@birdsandbats Sometimes they go with the idea that they should have a space near a busy area to "escape" to, but if there's no barriers or anything to prevent the noise, it's pointless. That sounds like hell, tbh. I've seen ones near those instrument gardens, too; I get that it creates active play and music is good for kids but they're so loud.
I've started wearing headphones sometimes, which I don't like the feeling of and they make me feel a lot warmer (which is an already an issue for me) but it helps the noise. Some seem to think they're soundproof, though, and take it as a sign they can be even louder around me.
