Burgers' Zoo kept pygmy hippos until 2017 and non-subspecies specific blue duikers, including a blue duiker - Maxwell duiker hybrid until 2007, and Congo blue duikers until 2019 (behind the scenes from 2018).
These are actually non-subspecific animals, including a hybrid maxwell×blue duiker. These animals were sent to Antwerp in 2007, when Burgers' obtained a new pair from Asson, which were pure Congolese.
