Giant Eland

Galápagos land iguana (Conolophus subcristatus)

A pair was exported to India in 2020 and they are now on exhibit at Sardar Patel Zoological Park.

@UngulateNerd92 I can't find any pictures of the exhibit or the animals. Both the CZA annual inventories (2021-2022) and the zoo's annual report (2023) state they posses a species of Conolophus. How ever there is a discrepancy between the 2 documents as to which species of land iguana they are. The annual report states Conolophus subcristatus while CZA states Conolophus marthae, however the CITES database says the species is Conolophus subcristatus same as what the zoo is claiming. It is unclear as to what they intend on doing with the species.
