@Summer Tanager Thanks! Bird World opened in the mid-1970s and closed down permanently in 2019. Denver Zoo lost a number of species with the closure and the plan is to open an Australian macropod exhibit in 2024 in approximately the same area.
Thank you for the update! I'm very sad to hear that. As much as I like wallabies and kangaroos, I wouldn't trade a large bird exhibit for them! With any luck, maybe they'll include an Australian aviary in the exhibit - one that DOESN'T house Cockatiels and Budgerigars!
