Down on the Bayou - Red tailed hawk

Reminds me of the red tailed hawk on a stick at Wildlife World in Arizona.

Just when I was loving seeing your marvelous photos of this excellent facility, which just barely failed to make the cut in my book that included the top 20 American aquariums, I am dismayed to see this hawk exhibit. There are so many better things that could have gone into the space!

@snowleopard I will be honest, this is a cool aquarium....but it is pretty small for the cost of entry and the cache is has in the community. I just don't think that it lives up to its reputation at this point, compared to other aquariums in the USA. It would still be in the top 25 probably, but just barely.

It only took me about 45 minutes to go through. Granted that was at first opening and there was no one else around, but I went back through a second time as well. All in all it took about 1.25 hours to see the whole thing. The insectarium added another hour.

I will do a trip report later today.
