Black-winged Stilt

RSPB Old Moor
A pair of these birds have bred at the sister site of Wombwell Ings and had three chicks. I did see them however they sat huddled and sleeping together throughout the time I was there.

Black-winged stilts seem to be becoming more common every year in the UK now. As far as I'm aware four separate broods have been raised this year across the country.
