Very interesting combination, especially in what seems like such a small habitat. Do we have anymore information on this (how long did it last, was this temporary)?
Early 60s to 1980. I assume this was because they didn't have any room anywhere else for Hippos. Like the Riverbanks zoo keeping Tigers and Jaguars in the "small mammal" exhibits.
