Unfortunately I could not find either species during my visit.

A shame these two wonderful species only get a concrete box in comparison to some of the other enclosures in the tropical building

@Mr Gharial I don't think the climbing structures for the possums in this exhibit are that bad, but I don't think the woylies have as much opportunities in this exhibit, and it exhibit indeed looks rather rapidly thrown together and unfinished.

@KevinB

Yeah, it's fine for Possums (though I think they'd also like a little soil), but it's pretty bad for Woylies.

It's also pretty odd that it seems to be set up for a nocturnal enclosure (judging by the undecorated walls and the closed-off viewing area), but it still has bright lights on (and the windows are boarded off to block the sunlight?!)

@Mr Gharial The photos make it seem a bit more well-lit then it actually was, but I'm not sure the exhibit is set-up to be fully nocturnal, or at least it does not come across as being that in other images I have seen of it.

I found a video posted a little over a year before my visit, which shows the exhibit with a bit more soil material and without metal structure over the viewing windows.

Monde Sauvage has some pretty decent parts but also definitely some rickety, uglier and not quite so nice parts, so it doesn't really surprise me they would have an exhibit like this.

@KevinB

Judging by the video, there's a pretty large chance the exhibit was being cleaned (or had recently been cleaned) during your visit. Which would also explain why you couldn't see the animals.

(Well, that's what I hope anyways)

Judging off the video, it appears the exhibit is probably much better with mulch. I still think however that it looks a bit like a tornado shelter.
