Moccasin Lake (Tampa Bay Raptor Center - 2022) - Florida Cooter

Is this wild or captive? I never noticed any terrarium areas there, just the outside aviaries. But it has been a couple of years since I was there.

@SwampDonkey This is captive. There is a small building by the entrance, I believe its the one on the left in the pic of the entrance path I posted. There are very few live animals inside the center, only about 4 or 5 species. I also remember a few terrariums had fake animal models or plants inside them.

@SusScrofa huh, I didn't notice that before. The first time I went was during covid, so maybe the inside part was closed? Good to know, thanks!

Do you happen to have a link for info on visiting this place? Assuming it's the same as Raptor Center of Tampa Bay, I don't see anything on their website.

@TinoPup it's actually a different place, I don't think the RCTB has a facility that is open to the public yet, although they are fundraising for one. Here is the link: https://www.moccasinlakeraptorsanctuary.org/

@SwampDonkey Interesting I thought they were the same organization. Very confusing having two places in the same vicinity with such similar names and missions, especially once/if the RCTB opens to the public!
