Sand Cat Exhibit

They really need to combine this exhibit with another, tbh

What is it with small cat species and being kept in tiny indoor jewel-boxes with mock-rock flooring?

The best Sand Cat exhibit I've personally ever seen is the one at Parken Zoo (Sweden), with a vast outdoor area with a glass barrier.



And the indoor area is bigger than most entire Sand Cat exhibits that I've come across on my travels (my photo only shows 50% of the enclosure):

Wow! I’d love to see something like that in the US, but for whatever reason, it seems that our domestic zoos would rather shove sand cats, black-footed cats, fennec foxes, and the like into tiny, all-indoor rooms with phony murals and mock-rock galore.
