In the flying squirrel cage - there were huge numbers making regular journeys from under a nearby bush to steal the squirrels' food.

A bit late to the party but their jizz makes them yellow-necked field mouse to me, large head, with large ears & eyes and a very sharp demarcation between back and belly.
