@Cat-Man It's definitely in the top tier of elephant exhibits that I've seen. One day I'll sit down and figure out how many elephant enclosures I've viewed in my lifetime, but just on my 2019 European trip I toured 19 zoos with Asian Elephants and 10 zoos with African Elephants and only Cologne topped Planckendael out of all those facilities. One interesting thing about the Planckendael exhibit is that visitors basically walk around the whole thing in a big loop, seeing the animals from various angles.
That sounds great. Interesting to hear you say it ranked so highly, it’s not normally mentioned amongst the continents best elephant exhibits when comparisons are done, but delighted for the inhabitants it has your seal of approval!
